The health resort Todtmoos and its thirteen villages are found in the Waldshut region in the middle of the Black Forest Nature Park. Todtmoos offers a place to stay where you can be close to nature and enjoy the scientifically proven healing characteristics.
The first mention of Todtmoos was documented as a result of the construction of the first chapel in the region, by the priest Dietrich von Rickenback back in the year 1255. The Baroque pilgrimage church, the mine museum and the local "Heimethus" museum found in a 250 year old typical Black Forest house are particularly worth a visit.Weather permitting, the "Hochkopf" local mountain (1263 metres above sea level), provides a panoramic view of the Alps and is a favourite for Nordic walkers, hikers and mountain bikers. After a walk along the "Kaffee/Glühweinpfad" (Coffee / Mulled wine route), through the "Rabenschlucht" to the waterfall in Hintertodtmoos or along the scenic Wehra, the Aqua Treff open air pool will offer a welcome place to cool down and refresh yourself.
