Heimethus local history museum in Todtmoos
The Heimethus local history museum in Todtmoos has been decorated with much love and attention to detail by the friends of the museum. Under the large, wide roof of this 250 year old Black Forest house covered with shingles 700 years of local history are presented.
The guests wander through the history of the community and are guided to understand and feel the local history, how the people lived and worked here.
The majority of the exhibited pieces, evidence from the past, are donations or on loan from the citizens and parish of this health and pilgrimage town, Todtmoos. Text boards explain the journey through the history. Although the Heimethus uncovers the history, it also displays the present. For those who would like to choose their partner for life, this can be done in the romantic registry office.
