Excursion destinations around Todtmoos: Schluchsee

The Schluchsee is the ideal excursion destination for those who want to cool down in the summer months. Around the over seven kilometre long and one and a half kilometre wide reservoir you can find many peaceful corners to bathe in the sun. The lake is also an experience for those who are water sport fans, whether in pedal boat, sailing boat or on a surfboard.

Visitors can also be active around the Schluchsee. A circular route around the lake is around 18 kilometres long and is well worth the walk, especially in the evening hours, when the setting sun projects a magical array of colours across the water surface. Additional walking paths and a large network of mountain bike tracks from the lake take you through the thick forest in the surrounding area.
