Excursion destinations around Todtmoos: Rheinfall
The Rheinfall near Schaffhausen in Switzerland is the largest waterfall in Europe. From a height of 23 metres and width of 150 metres the Rhine river thunders down the cliffs. This unique natural spectacle was formed around 15,000 years ago.
On both sides of the Rhine are viewpoints, which offer an optimal view of the waterfall. The Rheinfall can also be reached by special excursion boats, in order to climb the middle cliffs. A visit to this breath-taking spectacle is an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
